Bad infrastructure is the main reason Ghana's economy does not grow. The single worst bottleneck is the harbour of Tema. Not only does it serve as a huge source of cost and delays for importers, exporters don't get their stuff out either. And exporters of finished goods also depend on smooth import of parts and materials. The reason for the malfunctioning is corruption. The reason corruption is allowed to continue, is incompetence.
