What did he say about the signing of those numerous questionable POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENTS during the 2013 - 2016 MAHAMA ERA? You are clearly taxing the people and explaining with backward mentality. Ayariga thinks Ghanaians must keep quiet because it’s only 1 cedi. Karma is real and it’s exposing liars and empty barrels so quickly. Fake certificates galore, broken promises all over the place, new taxes and price increases are a daily occurrence. How long will you continue adding levies on petroleum just to pay for corrupt activities. They did not even show Ghanaians of the evidence of the containers they claimed to have found. I live in the US and when we buy petrol, there is a 25 cents tax per gallon attached. This money partly go to the federal and state government. In my state , the government gets 5 cents. This money goes to Department of Transportation to be used to maintain the roads.
My el3ectric power bill also attracts tax to be used for improving and maintaining the elctric grid and power stations.
On this note, I agree with JDM. In Ghana they should replace the word Levy with the word tax to make it clear.
If you want to improve your living conditions then we have to provide the necessary funds to achieve this objective.
