  When did past IGPs get together to nominate any of them to the council of state? When did past Chief Justices of the Supreme court get together to elect one of them to serve on the council of state? All that is needed here is the person so chosen shall be above a certain rank. DCOP Kofi Boakye meets all the necessary criteria.

  LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT
  
  THE NEW IGP IS A SHAME, WORSE AND A CRIMINAL, DAMPARE BETTER:
  
  1. Hope of Police officers have been dashed
  2. Criminals parading as informant and land guards have taken over the police headquarters.
  3. The IGP lacks the experience of his predecessor in fighting morden crimes. He have hired "his friends" 6 yrs retired police officers to act as consultants at the HQ to Ghana police service to advise him on how to fight robberies.
  4. All the able hands who can help have been sent fare away.
  5. Family and friends occupying all positions.
  6. Anger amongst personnel to change the IGP
  7. First Police Council meeting on last week, he has promoted all the officers in his office who are less then 2yrs in their ranks to Acp, something he complained during Dr Dampare’s time, in less than three months in office.
  8. He has promoted his driver and his inner circle secretly.
  9. No regards for Seniority
  10. Selective promotion, favouritism and cronyism
  11. Land grabbing
  13. Police indiscipline has surge.
  14. Disappointments on the faces of personnel.
  15. No strategy for leadership
  16. No strategy in fighting crime
  17. Police on autopilot
  18. The IGP is not in-charge
  
  HE President Mahama must act to save the service.

  It is a police governing council, and everybody who is able abiding citizens can serve there. As the name represents, a council and as long as you don't have any serious mental problem you can serve there. So shut up
