Vodafone Ghana launches new Samsung Galaxy Tablets

Accra, Dec. 6, GNA - The management of Vodafone Ghana on Monday launched its new Samsung Galaxy Tablets (SGT) to give customers innovative products and services that will empower them to take advantages of life's opportunities.

Mr Bjorn Flormann, Director of Vodafone Ghana, said the SGT was a portable smartphone and personal computer merged for people who wanted to stay connected to people and information. Mr Flormann said the seven-inch high resolution touch screen delivered smooth performance with a fast Random Access Memory providing instant and reliable photo browsing, internet surfing and the ability to view and edit Microsoft Office files.

He said the device had a Bluetooth connectivity support which provided reliable access to take pictures and videos, store or share it over Vodafone network instantly with friends via email. " Vodafone Ghana is offering the Galaxy Tablet with a headset, an extra one GB memory card, a Vodafone SIM, 2.5 GB of data, 100 voice minutes to all networks, 50 free text messages and a one-year warranty", he added. Mr Flormann said with the memory card, the SGT could store 16,000 songs or more than 3,000 times the bible content. Mr Fady Khatib, Head of Samsung Mobile said the company collaborated with Vodafone Ghana because it was one of the World's leading mobile telecommunications companies.

Mr Khatib said the device was of high quality and suitable for people who wanted to quickly and easily manage their business and personal communications using the Vodafone network. He said the battery for the device allowed for 10 hours of talk time and high internet storage.

Mrs Carmen Bruce-Annan, Head of Corporate Communications of Vodafone Ghana, said the network had doubled in size by giving its customers a superior coverage and selling more than 1,000,000 handsets to customers in both the urban and rural areas to have access to communication. Mrs Annan said as part of the company's loyalty to its customers, it was the first to introduce the cheapest ever call rate in Ghana across all networks.
