@Citizen8. I fully agree with you. However, the photo I am referring to is the one in his office at the Presidency (see the photo in the article). Our Embassies abroad can have the photo of our Head of State. Otherwise, I don't see the need to hang the photograph of the President in all public offices across the country. As I see it, it is a practice from the colonial time (a colonial legacy). The British colonialists hanged the photograph of their Queen and Kings in public places to prove that they control our land. We have continued with this practice using the photograph of our President.

By the way, doing away with the Gavi funding by 2030 is a very good initiative. We should be self sufficient in financing our vaccine imports (preferably produce them ourselves) otherwise we are very vulnerable should donors ...
