  We need to start developing community SHS's to allow day schooling. It looks like parents failure to train their wards, rather think teachers should be doing that. Forgetting that teachers are also parents. Was the medical condition stated 9n the wards data forms given to the school initially? We have witnessed SHS girls hinding in a car boot to escape school authorities. We need equally good community schools to allow parents take responsibility and thus blame game will cease.

The practice of some SHS keeping sick wards in boarding schools until it becomes serious before parents are informed is not good. I am sure when she complained of the headache, instead of timely medical intervention, she was being treated with paracetamol at the school until it became serious.

  If a student starts complaining of ill-health, let parents know about it, as soon as first aid does not help in the complaints. Most schools don't have qualified nor experienced health personnel who can easily identify the health problem the students complain about. So the best the administration can do is to send the child to the hospital and involve the parents.
