The only way to stop recruitment into the Ghana security services from being compromised by protocol contamination is for senior ranking officers in the various security agencies to meet with the President and leaders of parliament to demand an end to this backdoor practice. Recruitment into the services should be based on merit alone, and the process must be transparent in order to avoid protocol influences.
