  This is great news for Ghana but The cedi has started depreciating against the dollar and the major currencies ..Ato Forson sit up, Bank of Ghana governor (Asiamah) sit up..the strength of the cedi is depreciating again..why must the govt always sit down for the cedi to depreciate before they take drastic measures..to me I still insist $1=5 cedis should be the standard ..that will bring real economic freedom..Ndc givt has done a great job with the cedi, don’t sit down for it to depreciate again..we don’t want a 9 days wonder govt..Ghana as a country needs stability especially with our currency

  Is that great news for Ghana? Cedi stability through artificial means is very dangerous. The government, finance minister and bank of Ghana is stabilizing the cedi through artificial means. That means the finance minister and the Bank of Ghana is loading huge amount or millions of dollars into the system to stabilize the cedi. This is artificial work and Ghana is at risk. The current stability of the Cedi contradict the grassroots economy in Ghana. Ghanas grassroot economy is very weak and is not matured enough to make the cedi strong.It is the growth of the economic structures that appreciate the cedi against major currencies. Strongly said: "as the grassroots economy is growing, it pushes the local currency,to be strong enough" Not the artificial methodology from finance Minister, Ato Forson. Finance minister have pushed millions of dollars into the system to stabilize the cedi, meanwhile Ghanas economy is very weak and fragile. Ghana at the moment is sitting on economic time bomb and it can explode at any time. Is not the best from the finance minister, Ato Forson
