Veep leads government delegation to condole with Rawlings family

The Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, on Monday, October 27, 2025, led a high-level delegation from the Presidency to visit the family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to commiserate with them and sign the book of condolence.

She was accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo, and other senior government officials.

The delegation expressed heartfelt sympathies to the Rawlings family and offered words of comfort during the visit.

Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.

She was Ghana’s longest-serving First Lady, widely recognised for her tireless advocacy in women’s empowerment, social justice, and child welfare.
