Why is everybody selfish? When can we progress as a nation?

We can all testify to the fact that the ECG has been charging a lot on their prepaid meters, I think they were intentionally over charging users to cover up for this theft. If Ghanaians don't protest on how ECG is cheating us ...

We can all testify to the fact that the ECG has been charging a lot on their prepaid meters, I think they were intentionally over charging users to cover up for this theft. If Ghanaians don't protest on how ECG is cheating us, we will be paying more money for electricity than rent, the ECG will likely make this Mahama adminstration very difficult with their exorbitant charges. The credit they steal every end of the month and the overcharging should be addressed by the Government

**THIS IS HAPPENING TODAY.** Households are reporting **credits vanishing in hours** for basic use—a fan, a bulb, a phone charge. Tech creator **@tech_twi** went viral in June after blowing **GH¢250 in ONE WEEK** while “hardly home.” The outrage exploded online: “These meters are **rigged to rob us blind!**” In Chorkor, children study by **flickering candles**, small businesses **collapse by 6 PM**, and heatstroke cases **spike** as fans go silent. **The poor are paying with their lives.**

**THE ROOT? A $145 MILLION METER SCANDAL—EXPOSED AND UNPUNISHED.** Over 800,000 “smart” meters rolled out since 2024 under a **single-sourced, rule-breaking deal** slammed by the Auditor-General.
