I last met Dr. Kpikpi at the University of Ghana (Zoology Department) many decades ago — a proven academic, a quiet gentleman, and a strong Christian even then. I have no reason to believe he has changed or is cut from the same cloth as those who have failed us. On the contrary, he stands in stark contrast to the current front-runners.

It is essential that high ethical standards guide all our actions. The challenge before us is enormous but not insurmountable. That said, it is the duty of every voter to create a checklist, research each aspirant, and assess them against that checklist — with the process properly documented. This is a serious and necessary exercise. The earlier voters begin, the better informed their final decision at the polls will be.
