We are a bunch on jokers. Simple Criminal cases in circuit courts take over 6 to 8 years, land cases in the high courts take decades. People die in the process and their children have to fight on. Judges grant frivolous adjournments with no consequences and very little costs. Adjournments given are for months. In this pathetic process judges end up getting changed after cases have been heard to a major extent and then in many cases have to start afresh delaying cases for years. What is a 24 hour court going to do when such time wasting and abuse of the legal process is entertained. Until adjournments are not made extremely punitive you can do 24 hour court with no benefit. You can't manage a 5 hour court properly and think you can solve that by having a mismanaged 24 hour court. CJ come and go but no one has ever addressed the efficiency and system to prevent legal gymnastics and the total absurdity of excuses to delay hearings and abuse of the legal system. We are just supposed to watch on and say YES MY LORD !!
