The Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, on Monday led a delegation of chiefs, elders and queen mothers to the residence of the late Former First Lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to commiserate with her family.
On November 24, 2025, the delegation was warmly received by the children and relatives of the late stateswoman.
The atmosphere was described as solemn, with moments of deep reflections.

Togbe Afede conveyed condolences on behalf of the Asogli State, describing Nana Konadu as “a remarkable woman whose impact on Ghana’s political and social life will be remembered for generations.”
He added that her contributions to national development and women’s empowerment "have left a lasting legacy."’
Reflecting on his relationship with the family, the Agbogbomefia said, “I have always considered myself part of the Rawlings family. With the passing of both President Rawlings and Nana Konadu, my bond with the family is even stronger.”

He assured the children of his continued support, saying, “You are not alone. I will always be here for you. Remain united, because unity was a value your parents cherished deeply.”
