The schools now have grants to allow for feeding for their students
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released all outstanding feeding grants for special schools, covering the third term of the 2024/2025 academic year and the first term of the 2025/2026 academic year.
This was contained in a statement dated Friday, December 12, 2025, and signed by Daniel Fenyi, the Head of Public Relations.

“The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the outstanding feeding grant for all Special Schools, covering the 3rd term of the 2024/2025 academic year and the 1st Term of the 2025/2026 academic year," it noted.

The GES also confirmed that payments for perishables owed to Senior High Schools and Senior High Technical Schools between July 29 and October 17, 2025, have been cleared.
"Additionally, management has released all outstanding perishables owed to senior high schools (SHS) and senior high technical Schools (SHTS) for the period July 19 to October 17, 2025," it said
The GES also reminded heads of special schools, SHSs and SHTSs to submit official receipts acknowledging receipt of the funds.
"Heads of Special Schools, SHS, and SHTS are reminded to submit official receipts acknowledging the funds received to the Director-General through their respective Regional Accountants," the statement read.
The GES also reaffirmed its commitment to promoting effective teaching, learning and inclusive education nationwide.
