Playing against other African players is one thing but against players that have access to better training and coaching staff for every aspect of the game is a completely different ball game.
Nevertheless I do understand the opportunistic argument. Is not the game of football all about winning and securing better sponsorship and opportunities for our youth in football????

If it will bring in more money and help the others secure better contracts abroad as a result of better performances surely that is something to consider.

The government will not perform more than they should so why not consider more players who have been performing at the top tier.
