  We failed to plan as the population was growing and this is the consequence. Years ago late Dr Hilla Liman wanted to develop our public transport, by introducing mass transport with his Tata buses but a certain Rawlings destroyed it.In place of that he emboldened GPRTU to continue with their Trotro.

  This is the reason why President John Mahama and NDC are legalising Okada to free space and let everybody move faster..The modern way of controlling this type if traffic is the legalisation of OKADA as Mahama is saying.

  When the city authorities decided to introduce more buses to certain routes, I commented that more buses won't solve the problem. Has it helped in anyway since the introduction of the buses ? Our leaders most of the time rush to take decisions which don't help but rather compounds the already bad situation. During rush hours, commuters suffer unduly not because there's shortage of vehicles but roads are limited. Inspite of the fact that massive road projects are on-going in the city, there are more work to be done as far as roads construction is concerned. More roads but not more buses unless maybe buses that can fly otherwise they are joking by adding more buses.
