  ICE is detaining the Cedi in Ghana , not in the US.
  
  The market forces must determine the exchange rate. We should stop importing and stop needing foreign exchange. Let us use what we have in Ghana.

  You rather are ignorant. The BOG keeps meddling with the fx market with their so called 'pumping of dollars' , to artificially give strength to cedi. And everytime they make our foreign currencies drop, it will slowly start gaining strength against cedis. The market should determine the real value of the cedi. Artificial ways always has consequences in the end. If BOG says cedi is doing well, we dare them to stop pumping dollars for just 3 months let's see something. Funny people & pushing for artificial single digit exchange rate. Do you know what will happen to Ghana's export value if miraculously or artificially cedi appreciated to single digit like 4 cedis today?
