The President of Imani Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has dismissed claims that his health condition has affected his mental capacity.

According to him, he remains clear-headed and firmly grounded in his political convictions.

In a post shared on his X page on Sunday, January 18, 2026, Cudjoe pushed back against comments about his health.

“My health condition hasn’t disabled me from thinking right. It has not prevented me from detecting and exposing radicalised, politicised militant ignorance and stupidity from common sense and clear thinking", he wrote.

Frankin Cudjoe said he has no difficulty recalling what he described as the failures of the previous government, accusing it of corruption and economic mismanagement.

“I have no memory loss of the excruciatingly plunderous, wasteful and kleptocratic feasting the last government visited upon us,” he wrote. “I have not forgotten that that government was fantastically corrupt, and it was mostly made up of incompetent talkertives whose economically porous thinking and actions left us in a junk-rated prison.”

Cudjoe further alleged that the former administration weakened democratic governance and the rule of law, a situation he believes has contributed to the legal troubles facing former finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

“I will never forget that the last government sequestered rational, respectful freedom of speech and the rule of law from accountable governance, a huge reason why Ken Ofori-Atta has become a high-profile absconder, a fugitive from the law,” he stated.

The Imani Africa president praised the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, suggesting that his health challenges have not diminished his ability to appreciate what he described as improved governance.

“My health challenges certainly haven’t stopped me from breathing the fresh air and its ‘nyunyu’ scent under the humane, humble, thoughtful and competent thought process of John Dramani Mahama,” Cudjoe said.

Addressing those who have mocked his health condition, Cudjoe said he remains unfazed and alert to criticism.

“So those posting insulting comments of my health condition, I will be here reading and answering,” he added.
