The Director in charge of Human Resources at the Ghana Prison Service has shared plans for the next phase of the institution’s ongoing recruitment process.

In a video shared on X, Alhaji Issaku Yahaya noted that the Ghana Prison Service, which has completed the body screening and documentation stages, will migrate to an online system in the second phase of the recruitment exercise.

According to him, the second phase, which involves the aptitude test, will be conducted online for all applicants, a procedure he described as “stress-free” for prospective recruits.

“There will be an aptitude test, and applicants will be notified of when to take it. This time, as I said, it’s going to be online. Nobody will come to sit in a classroom to write a test; it will be conducted online.

“When you receive your questions, you are given a duration. All you have to do is click and answer. That’s it. So it’s going to be very smooth and stress-free. The only stress is whether you will be selected or not. Physically, there will be no stress,” he said.

When asked about the total number of recruits who had undergone body screening and documentation at his centre, Alhaji Issaku Yahaya noted that about 800 applicants were screened daily.

“I will not be able to give you the exact number we have screened so far, but the maximum number per centre is 400. For example, today, during the morning session, we had two centres here, and each centre screened 400 applicants. So I can’t tell you the total number we have done so far,” he added.
