  It seems like nobody cares about the silly things this DVLA guy is doing, he's more interested in money than the duty of making sure our roads are safer. Last time he was telling people he's going to construct hospitals, then just yesterday he was saying people's , DL or Road Worthy Certificates will expire according to their birthday. Does it make sense? Assuming I was born on 31st December and I applied for a driver's license or register my vehicle on 30 December, so 2 or 3 days because of my date of birth it will expire? What kind of stupidity is this? Again people receiving SMS that their drivers license or Road Worthy is expiring, and get charged for that, what about if I decide not to drive again, do I have to pay for the text message? This guy just comes out with any bullshit and nobody says anything. Look now our drivers license and road worthy certificates are giving out like groundnuts sold in kiosk and no wonder the various accidents. How can you give this sensitive core duty of DVLA to private sector? NPP take this man on because you can have plus monitoring him. He doesn't make sense at all.

  That's how it's done in the US; your tag registration is tied to your birthday so that you don't forget to renew it. It's a great revenue mobilization strategy if only they use it correctly.
