Kwabena Dwomoh says Joycelyn has still not been found
The father of three-year-old Joycelyn Yamoah Dwomoh, who was reportedly abducted from her school by an unknown individual, has spoken out about the family’s ordeal.
According to the child’s father, Kwabena Dwomoh, the family is not only grappling with the pain of the disappearance but also with what he describes as the spread of false and misleading information about the case on social media.

He said claims suggesting that the child has been found or that a suspect has been arrested are untrue and have caused further distress to the family.
“My name is Kwabena Dwomoh, and my daughter is Joycelyn Yamoah Dwomoh, who was abducted from school, and we are yet to know her whereabouts.
“I have noticed that some people are writing statements and creating messages suggesting that we have seen our missing daughter and have even arrested the abductor. Those claims are not true,” he said in a video shared on X on January 29,2026.
Dwomoh alleged that the misleading claims were being perpetrated by the abductors in an attempt to deceive the public.
He stressed that such actions could undermine the work of the security agencies and derail efforts to trace the whereabouts of the missing child.
The grieving father therefore appealed to the public to support ongoing investigations by avoiding speculation and the circulation of unverified content online.
“They are being circulated and perpetuated by the culprits behind my child’s abduction. Anyone who goes ahead to share such messages becomes complicit in the crime, and they are being hunted by the CID,” he stated.
“I am appealing to the public to desist from writing and sharing such messages because what evidence do they have to make these claims? We have not seen our child, neither alive nor dead, and the person responsible has not been found,” he appealed.
According to a Ghana Police amber alert, three-year-old Joycelyn was abducted from her school in Konongo on January 15, 2026, by a young woman.
