President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama have departed Ghana for Zambia on a three-day state visit.

This was announced on the official X page of the Presidency on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

"A key highlight of the visit will be an address to the National Assembly of Zambia, during which President Mahama will share Ghana's vision for a more integrated and prosperous Africa," the post stated.

Highlights from President Mahama's address at the World Governments Summit

The visit,"reflects President Mahama’s commitment to his vision of an Africa that is seamlessly connected through enhanced transport infrastructure, expanded trade links, and the free movement of people and goods".

President Mahama is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Hakainde Hichilema on Thursday, February 5, 2027, to discuss ways to strengthen trade, infrastructure, and regional cooperation.
