When you have a better gov't which cares about its service personnel, this is how it supports the IGP because, at the end of the day, promotions affect remuneration and gov't must pay.

Is the finance and interior ministers aware of financial burden these promotions putting on the national treasury? Ghana police seems to have more commissioned officer tha the ranks. Greater number of police personnel do desk work than field patrols.The seems to have more than 40 police commissioners .The IGP must be summoned to parliament to explain and justify the roles and responsibilities of these officers. This IGP is putting to much pressure on national budget. The interior minister must bring the IGP under control. He must seek the ministerial approval before giving these unnecessary promotions.
