Three months after popular American YouTube creator and World No 1 YouTuber, Jimmy Donaldson, aka Mr Beast, announced plans to embark on worldwide philanthropic missions around the world, two schools have been built in Ghana.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel on February 21, 2026, Mr Beast detailed how he rebuilt 10 schools around the world, including Ghana, Ecuador, India and the United States.

The first school on his list was at an undisclosed community in Ghana, where Mr Beast and his team completely tore down the school building which had been deemed too dangerous for use.

The school was then rebuilt and fully furnished with a well being dug to provide water for the school and the community.

In the second school, based in another undisclosed community, the only existing school block wasn’t torn down but renovated and refurbished.

Two new fully furnished school blocks were also added to the renovated block.

The video showed the jubilant students and community members praising Mr Beast for his efforts.

Additionally, after hearing that two teachers, identified as Joseph and Emmanuel, spent majority of their salaries commuting to the school, a two-apartment teacher’s bungalow was built and fully furnished for them.

A new borehole, washroom facilities and a fully stocked kitchen was added to the project as well.

But a touching part was when Mr Beast announced that the school would receive free lunches until 2030, courtesy of the Rockefeller Foundation.

"We actually spent over half a million dollars on this compound... and we are not done. That figure is going to cost over a million dollars by the end of the year just in developing the school and the community around it to better the lives of the teachers and the children," he said in the video.

For his efforts, Mr Beast was enstooled as a development chief in the community.
