The late Prophet Prince Elisha Kofi Osei
The family of the late Prophet Prince Elisha Kofi Osei, Founder and General Overseer of Grace Family Church International, has officially announced the cause of his death.
In a public notice issued by the church and the family, it was disclosed that the revered cleric passed away following a cardiac arrest on Friday, February 13, 2026.
The statement was jointly signed by the Ebusuapanin and Elders of the Amokuma Tankam Ahinkora Anona Family of Dutch Komenda/Elmina/Sekondi, together with prominent religious leaders including His Eminence Elisha Salifu Amoako, President of the National Prophetic and Apostolic Churches Council (NPACC) and General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, as well as Archbishop General Dr Obenfo George Slezer Ofori-Atta, Prelate of the Council of World Bishops and Clergies, Philadelphia, USA.
“With hearts filled with sorrow, but anchored in the hope of resurrection, we announce the passing of our beloved son,” the statement read.
The family described his passing as unexpected, noting that the loss has deeply affected his wife, children, the church community and all who knew him.
According to the statement, Prophet Prince Elisha Kofi Osei was a devoted servant of God whose life, teachings and spiritual guidance impacted many lives.
According to the family, “His leadership at Grace Family Church International was marked by a commitment to faith, love and dedication to God’s work.”

The family emphasised that his legacy will continue to inspire many within and beyond the Christian community.
The family has urged the general public to refrain from spreading unverified information, false statements or abusive comments regarding his passing. They cautioned that individuals found circulating defamatory content would be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the land.
They also appealed for privacy, respect and prayers during this period of mourning.
Funeral arrangements, the statement added, will be officially communicated to the public in due course.
The notice was signed by Nana Kojo Danso Botha, Family Head, on behalf of the family.
