Controversial Ghanaian preacher Prophet Fire Oja
The highest chief priest of Ga land, Naa-Ye, has issued a three-day ultimatum to controversial Ghanaian preacher Prophet Fire Oja, directing him to appear before the traditional council over what has been described as an act of disrespect.
According to the chief priest, the directive follows a ruling by the traditional council in a dispute involving Prophet Fire Oja and a woman identified as Ola Maame.
Detailing the matter, Naa-Ye explained that about a week or a month ago, a case was brought before the council involving allegations made by the pastor against the woman.
“There was an issue between Ola Maame and Pastor Eric. We invited both parties to come and present their concerns,” he said.
The chief priest stated that Prophet Fire Oja accused the woman of prostitution and further alleged that her child did not belong to her. However, when asked to provide evidence to substantiate the claims, he reportedly failed to do so.
“He made several accusations, and we asked him to bring proof but he could not provide any,” Naa-Ye indicated.
Following deliberations, the traditional council ruled against the pastor.
According to Naa-Ye, Prophet Fire Oja has since failed to appear before the council after the ruling, an action the traditional authorities consider disrespectful.

“This is a traditional house. If anybody sees what is going on, nobody should blame anyone for what happens because he has disrespected us,” the chief priest warned.
He further disclosed that although the pastor initially indicated he was unaware the matter had not been fully resolved and promised to appear, the council later received information that a chief from Nungua had presented a letter claiming to have intervened in the issue.
The development, Naa-Ye said, surprised the elders, given that the case had already been heard and ruled upon by the council.
“How can someone intervene in a case that has already been ruled against the pastor?” he questioned.
The elders have therefore given Prophet Fire Oja up to Monday February 23, 2026, to appear before the traditional authorities if he seeks peace.
“The elders have given him up until Monday. If he does not show up, we will advise ourselves,” Naa-Ye stated.
