The plain truth is that there is no health care system in Ghana, people in authority just pretend there's a system to deceive the ignorant in our society. Why do our politicians seek health care abroad? Why did Bagbin go to Dubai for health care? A friend's mother with diabetes periodically go to Manhyia Government Hospital. Using the NHIS card, the old lady pays for her medications that would last her for 2 months. Meanwhile, her next visit is scheduled for 2 and half months. So before her next visit the old lady had to find money to buy drugs for the remaining 2 weeks. If there's a health care system in Ghana, why are our politicians seeking health care abroad?

Not only the health care system but the whole country is sick. We are not doing well as a nation. There is too much negligence with no consequences. Other countries have surpassed us despite being the first country to gain independence on the African continent. There is too much indiscipline in the country and our leaders are sleeping on the job. What we need now is someone like the Ethiopian leader Dr. Abiy Ahmed (a civilian with a military background). Our current leader in Ghana is too soft, too gentle, too weak, too religious, too uncharismatic and too undynamic.

I highly support the views, concerns and recommendations expressed by Kwame Sarpong Asiedu. I have known Kwame since 1983, when we began our secondary school education together at Adisadel College, and I can personally attest to his expertise and character.

He is someone who truly knows what he is talking about and genuinely cares about the welfare of people and the nation as a whole. I believe his insights are invaluable; in fact, it is my opinion that the President should have him lead the effort to improve our healthcare system.
I strongly encourage you to listen to his perspectives and consider his recommendations for the betterment of our country.
