Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, George Paaku has said that he is gradually recovering and working his way back to full fitness after a recent illness sidelined him.

The midfielder revealed that he had been admitted to the hospital, which disrupted his form and fitness over the past few months.

However, Paaku said he is now feeling much better and is focused on regaining his top condition ahead of the club’s upcoming matches.

“I feel much better, and I’m preparing for the next game. I would say I’m not fit like I was months ago because I was sick and I was admitted to the hospital. But I’m back, and I’m preparing to get back to my best,” he told Hearts TV.

George Paaku’s return will be a welcome boost for Hearts of Oak as the team continues its campaign in the Ghana Premier League.

Accra Hearts of Oak will host Basake Holy Stars on matchday 25 in the ongoing 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season on Sunday, March 8.
