A married man, Kofi Seidu, has expressed confusion and distress after his wife, Akua Abrefi and her new boyfriend, a galamsey operator Bismark, are allegedly demanded GH¢60,000 from him for sleeping with her.
Speaking on Oyerepa Afutuo, a programme dedicated to resolving domestic issues, Kofi explained that he and his estranged wife Akua, with whom he has three children, have been entangled in a complicated marital dispute.
According to him, Akua cheated with the galamseyer and after confronting her family and the man involved, he invoked the Antoa shrine to curse the man.
The man later admitted to the affair and came with his family to apologise. Following a meeting between the families, the man was asked to compensate Kofi and he paid GH¢20,000.
“I married Akua Abrefi in Asante Bekwai and we have three children. She cheated on me and her family came to apologise. The man also admitted to sleeping with her. I cursed him with Antoa and he later came with his family to apologise. He was asked to compensate me and he gave me GH¢20,000,” Kofi recounted.
Kofi added that although Akua later declared she would no longer continue with the marriage, there has been no official dissolution.
So, she visited him with their children and during that visit, they had an intimate encounter.
Subsequently, Akua accused him of sleeping with her despite their separation and claimed she was now married to the galamseyer.

The man (galamseyer), who had earlier compensated Kofi, is now demanding three times the amount (GH¢60,000), arguing that since Kofi took money from him for sleeping with Akua while she was married, he should also pay compensation for sleeping with her as she is now engaged to him.
“She has summoned me to queen mothers, saying I slept with her after our breakup. The man claims that since I took GH¢20,000 from him, he will now take GH¢60,000 from me,” Kofi explained.
His confusion and frustration over the matter led him to seek help on the programme.
Meanwhile, Akua has also denied some of allegations saying that Kofi had told her he wasn’t interested in the marriage any more.
