Elder Kwabena Donkor is the founder of Hebron Prayer camp
An old video from December 2025 of Elder Kwabena Donkor, the founder of the Hebron Prayer Camp near Nsawam, has resurfaced showing him praying for a prosperous 2026 for everyone.
The video comes in the wake of the tragic death of his two sons in a helicopter crash at Tema Community 1.
A look at the '25-year-old' microlight helicopter involved in tragic Tema crash
The victims, identified as Captain Frank Amoaning Donkor, 36, a flying instructor, and his younger brother, Elijah Ofori Donkor, 25, a university graduate were on a ride in a microlight helicopter when the accident occurred.
In the footage, Elder Donkor is seen praying over his congregation, asking God to bless the year ahead.
He also invoked divine protection, referencing the biblical story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who emerged unharmed from a burning furnace.
“My heart desire is for 2026 to be good and prosperous for everyone… God will deliver us from fire just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abedenego,” he said.
The resurfaced video has left many people sympathising with him, with some questioning how such a tragedy could befall him without any indication, especially as he prayed for a good year.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that his older son, Captain Donkor, was a seasoned airman with both Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) ratings.
