The State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) is set to convene its Annual Stakeholder Engagement on Thursday, March 19, 2026, bringing together top officials from government, public enterprises, civil society, and the media for strategic discussions on Ghana’s state-owned enterprises (SEs).

Held under the theme “The State as a Partner in Progress: Leveraging Public Assets for Shared Prosperity”, the event will provide a platform to review the findings of SIGA’s 2024 State Ownership Report (SOR) and the Annual Governance and Institutional Performance Assessment Report (AGIPAR). Discussions will focus on enhancing governance, operational performance, and reducing audit infractions across the SE sector.

President John Dramani Mahama will attend as the special guest of honour, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving efficiency and accountability in public enterprises.

The programme will also feature the fifth edition of the Public Enterprises League Table (PELT) & Awards, which recognises SEs that have excelled in performance contracting, monitoring, evaluation, and transparent reporting.

The awards initiative is part of SIGA’s broader mission to embed a culture of good governance, reward high performers, and promote accountability for underperforming entities.

SIGA expects the two-part engagement to strengthen networks, deepen collaboration among stakeholders, and generate actionable strategies to improve the performance of Ghana’s public enterprises.
