Nick Danso Adjei is a Ghanaian business mogul
A former Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and current Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere Baafi, has called on the government to honour Ghana’s local entrepreneurs whose contributions continue to shape the nation’s development narrative.
Delivering a statement on the floor of Parliament, the MP singled out Nick Danso Adjei for his exceptional business acumen and his role in building and managing multiple enterprises that have created employment opportunities for the teeming youth across the country.
He noted that the impact of indigenous entrepreneurs on Ghana’s economic growth remains profound, stressing that their resilience and innovation deserve national recognition and structured support.
Okyere Baafi further argued that celebrating such figures should be central to Ghana Month activities, as they represent the modern pillars of the country’s economic transformation.
He also commended other distinguished Ghanaian entrepreneurs, including Ibrahim Mahama, Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Daniel McKorley, and the late Samuel Kwadjo Agyapong Appenteng, for their outstanding contributions across key sectors of the economy.
He noted that their investments in areas such as construction, sanitation, logistics, media, and industrial services have not only created thousands of jobs but also strengthened Ghana’s economic resilience and private sector growth.
According to him, beyond cultural heritage, Ghana must also spotlight individuals whose investments and enterprises are driving industrialisation, job creation, and sustainable growth.
He therefore urged government and relevant stakeholders to institute deliberate measures to recognise and reward outstanding Ghanaian entrepreneurs, insisting that doing so would inspire a new generation of business leaders and strengthen the country’s economic future.
