Why do we go to Burkina Faso when we can grow our own tomatoes ? This is unacceptable. What is wrong about growing our own potatoes ?

Good decision. I wonder why Ghanaians import tomatoes when it's cheaper to grow here even in our homes. It's shameful to import onions ect to Ghana, are we sick or what?
Tomato seedlings germinate by itself even close to our gutters at home. What prevents us to undertake backyard gardening in this era that all manner of chemicals and unorthodox ways are used in preserving our vegetables
