‘I told Muntaka he deserves to be sacked by the president’ - Appiah Stadium

Appiah Stadium, a staunch National Democratic Congress party supporter, has claimed that he has urged the president to sack the Minister of the Interior, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka, due to his poor performance in the role given to him by the government.

Speaking in an interview on RTV’s Atesem on Friday, March 20,2026, he said he personally called the president to to sack the interior minister and also called the interior minister personally to address him about this matter, indicating to him he deserves to be sacked.

“I called Muntaka to tell him that the president must remove him from office because he was not genuine,” he said.

His comments come amid growing controversies surrounding the ongoing security services recruitment exercise across the country.

This is after there have been several concerns about the processes for the recruitments and concerns, particularly, about the use of an AI aptitude test system to examine applicants.

Meanwhile, the Minority in Parliament has also raised serious concerns about the same recruitment process, accusing the government of irregularities and lack of transparency.
