Anyone who wants to drive a taxicab must be licensed to do so by an authority and his criminal background must be checked to weed our criminals.All taxicabs must have identifiable numbers on them and riding public must be educated to them. All licensed taxi drivers must have a picture hand tag that they must hang out onto their rearview mirror anytime they are working.

And all that the user before you suggested can very easily be FORGED in Ghana. None of them will guarantee a passenger's safety. For instance tagging a number to a vehicle can be temporary covered it a magnetic inscription of a different number.

I believe passengers should enhance their safety by avoiding very early or late travels. Passengers should organize group travels - two or more people travelling at the same time, avoid taking too much cash on them etc ...

When I asked him for the change, he told to hold on and that he will give it to me. Yes, cameras are OK and do record stuff, but some profi-robbers can ALWAYS outsmart: 8 weeks ago, some robbers broke in a bank, broke over 3000 safes and stole over 100 million Euros. With tens of cameras and security gadgets, till this hour, not a single person has been identified. They used a stolen car and mounted a fake number plate on it.
