Ghanaian international Kwasi Sibo played 70 minutes for Real Oviedo as they suffered a 4-2 defeat to Levante in their La Liga 2 clash on Saturday.

The midfielder was substituted in the 70th minute as Oviedo struggled to contain a dominant Levante side. The result leaves Oviedo in 14th place in the Spanish second division standings, with Sibo having made 25 appearances for the club this season.

The 27-year-old will now turn his attention to international duty after being named in Otto Addo's 26-man squad for Ghana's upcoming pre-World Cup friendlies against Austria and Germany.

The matches serve as crucial preparation for the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana faces Austria in Vienna on March 27 before travelling to Stuttgart to take on Germany three days later. The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L for the World Cup alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, and will open their campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto.

Sibo, who can operate in midfield or defence, will be hoping to feature in both friendlies as he seeks to secure a spot in Ghana's final World Cup squad. His versatility could prove valuable for Otto Addo as the team finalises preparations for the tournament.
