It was this same Jalil who assaulted DSP Rtd. Mr. Nanka Bruce at Flagstaff House when Nana Addo won the 2016 elections because his party had won the elections.
Prior to Nana Addo winning the election he had been dismissed from the police service for his alleged involvement in activities in contrast with the principles of the Police Service.
Nana Addo ensured he was reinstated as a corporal. He was subsequently granted several special recommendations and eventually went to the Academy to become a senior officer.
Mr. Yohonu sees nothing wrong with this person whose actions are unethical as an abusive person and still granted him special recommendation promoting him to the rank of DSP.
So today Jalil who assaulted Nanka Bruce for being NDC is still an active voice and a champion within the Police Service under NDC appointed IGP?
When he went to Bekwai and it’s environs last year with his team under the express instructions of the IGP, he compromised himself with the activities of illegal miners.

Your Excellency please call your appointed IGP to order. The truth is that he empowering persons like Jalil is drawing hatred for your administration from some of the men within the service.

Jalil has a motive and penchant to attack people to draw hatred for the government to pave way for his NPP government.

He demonstrates double standards always just like his boss who wanted the wife of Nana Addo to use tribal lines to get him occupy the IGP seat. At least he succeeded in being elevated to be the deputy IGP then.

Mr President people are aggrieved and peeved with the family and friends promotions your IGP is engaged in. His son who has received double promotions in less than 3 months is suspected of being pushed to join the pending Academy which they are preparing to write entrance exams.

A word to the wise is enough.

These police officers should not be hiding behind their uniforms to manhandle those in their custody because without the uniform they are toothless and can be taken on by the people . The way and manner some police officers beat suspects during arrest, at the police stations and even behind cells is so inhumane that our legal system must address that issue. Every suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty. If the police denies beating Ibrahim Mahama, then how did he lose one of his teeth? Ghana is a country of laws and we must operate within the law .
