Leader of the Universal Spiritual Outreach, Bishop Kwabena Boakye Asiamah, has weighed in on the recent incident involving a group of alleged thugs who stormed the church premises of Prophet Fire Oja during a live service.

The incident, which has since gone viral on social media, reportedly occurred on Sunday, March 22, 2026, when the group angrily disrupted proceedings.

Reports indicate that the attackers demanded that Prophet Fire Oja accompany them to the Nai We Shrine over allegations of disrespect toward traditional customs.

Reacting to the development, Bishop Asiamah called on the Interior Minister to take action, while also urging pastors to learn from the incident.

Ajagurajah warned that the situation reflects a growing lack of respect for Christians, stressing the need for heightened vigilance.

“Pastors should learn from this incident because people are no longer afraid of Christ. Do you think the thugs would have entered if there had been tight security? No,” he said.

He further emphasized that adequate security could have prevented the situation, noting that the attackers would not have gained access if proper measures had been in place.

“They would have left a message to be delivered to the pastor. The Interior Minister must wake up and take action. This is a disgrace,” he added.

The outspoken religious leader also highlighted security arrangements at his own church, suggesting that places of worship must prioritise both physical and spiritual protection.

“There is no church premises safer than the Ajagurajah movement. Once you enter, you are fully protected, both physically and spiritually. There are CCTVs everywhere on my premises, and they are fully operational,” he noted.

He cautioned religious leaders to remain alert, especially if they are aware of potential threats against them.

“In this world, if you know there are people who do not like you, be careful and protect yourself,” he advised.

Meanwhile, Prophet Fire Oja has taken to social media to explain the circumstances leading to the invasion, denying claims that he disrespected Ga customs.

According to him, the issue stemmed from a misunderstanding between himself and a socialite identified as Ola Maame, who allegedly summoned him to Nai We over claims of defamation.

He explained that although he honoured the summons, he was not given the opportunity to fully present his case before a ruling was made, which included a demand for him to pay GH¢72,000.

“I was summoned to Nai We’s palace, and I went. After presenting my evidence, I stated that Ola Maame had also defamed me on social media, so she should provide her evidence as well. They told me she would do so at the next sitting. However, when I returned, she did not show up.

“That was when Nai We said that since Ola Maame filed the complaint, if I also had an issue, I should file a separate complaint,” he explained.
