Johnson Asiedu Nketiah is the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress
Report on the ongoing three-day “Thank You Tour” of the Ashanti Region by National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has sparked a chain of reactions on social media.
According to a report by adomline.com, the tour begins on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
In what has been planned as ‘Phase 1’ of the tour of the Ashanti Region the party termed as the ‘World Bank’ of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Asiedu Nketiah will also engage with party leaders and grassroots to assess their evaluation of the government’s performance so far, while briefing them also of plans by the government into the near future.
However, the announcement has ignited a rather interesting reaction from social media users, particularly on Facebook, questioning the relevance of the tour.
In their estimation, the “Thank You Tour” stirs up too many unanswered questions.
"Thank you tour s3s3n????? As what?????," one Andy Drew Flecher wrote.
"What's the thank you in his tour?" another user, called Nana Yaw Chokosi, quizzed.
"2 years still thank you tour," another user identified as Stephen Asare Kwapong wrote.
Meanwhile, the three-day tour of the Ashanti Region is to thank the electorate for helping to return the NDC to power during Election 2024.
The NDC managed to double its parliamentary seats in the region from four to eight during the 2024 elections, the first in the history of the party in the region.
