You see, misnomers like "middlemen" used here by Barker-Vormawor is to obfuscate or stifle meaningful debate and/or throw dust into the eyes of the novice.

People acting criminally and selfishly on their own accord (some of which aren't clearly or manifestly commercial from the onset) can't be called Middlemen, in fact, from subjective viewpoint. Some of us have read different versions about how and why some people "needed" to be "sold". A person "selling" another knows for sure it's wrong.

Some of them (victims) would have suffered serious consequences from the hands of their own countrymen anyway had the slavers not come in for the haul, because they were already branded outcasts and maltreated.

Sometimes I feel such people don’t contribute to any intellectual discourse but just would want to take a stance against everything so people have their say as well. It’s more of going viral than contributing to anything essentially good.
