Okomfo Akosua Dedeaa is the Eastern Regional President of the Association of Priests
The Eastern Regional President of the Association of Priests, Okomfo Akosua Dedeaa, has cautioned the public against engaging in sexual activities in open spaces during this year’s Kwahu Easter celebrations.
Speaking during a visit to Obo in the Kwahu area, she expressed concern over the rising cases of indecent behaviour during festive periods.
According to a report by adomonline.com on April 2, 2026, she stressed that markets, schools, bars, streets, and other public areas should not be turned into centres for immoral acts, particularly as large crowds are expected for the celebrations.

“Such conduct violates cultural and moral values and could attract spiritual consequences if not addressed,” Okomfo Dedeaa warned.
She urged revelers to exercise discipline, respect public spaces, and celebrate responsibly to ensure a peaceful Easter.
The priestess also called on community leaders and security agencies to remain vigilant and enforce order throughout the festive period.
