Because of these lackadaisical approach towards work and the habit of dishonesty carried forward from socialist elements, there's no need for Mahama to waist money on government industries. What do you mean by "no Socialism element in building Akosombo dam"?
First, the socialist aspect of it,is that it was for our collective good.Even our way of life where uncles, aunties etc all chip in yo raise a child can be classified as "Socialism".

Ghana had 50% of the money. World bank gave us a bit, UK govt a bit and the US govt a bit to build the Dam. They were loans with interest and we paid them back.

When Nkrumah, took the same loan from USSR, China, Hungary , Poland Czechoslovakia etc to build the Bui Dam, idiotic Kofi Busia sat in London and branded him communist. 50 years later, shameless Kufour went to the same communist China for the loan to build that Bui Dam. It tells y,ou how stupid the NPP goons are.

When the US govt decided not give Gamal Nasser 70 million dollar loan for the Aswan Dam, he went to Socialist USSR and they financed the whole 2 billion dollar project. Egypt cannot survive today without that Dam. Do they call it socialist or capitalist Dam? No. Was it vital and essential? Yes. That is the whole point.

Lastly, the first bomb aimed at Nkrumah was at his home in November 1955.
Was it done by the TUC? No. It was masterminded by wankers such Danquah, Busia, Obetsibi Lamptey, Baffour Akoto etc. Do you call that progress? . Brain fart Kofi Busia branded Tema Harbour and Township, Akosombo Dam etc as "Prestige Projects" are they?

Many years ago, I worked with GIHOC as a young cost accounting manager. Direct labor expenses was a major problem due to deliberate and excessive overtime which significantly increased costs. This was because the union made overtime a required benefit and management went along with them; which led to reduced operating margins. That form of overtime did not increase output but the unions insisted ithey needed those hours. Those excessive overtime hours and laziness were so complex to separate. I'll tell you this, most of GIHOC divisions fumbled as a result of these malpractices, as well as inefficiency on the part of management. I remember a time when union members asked for pay raises, when their leaders knew we were losing money.
Most government industries had similar problems during and after Kwame Nkrumah. Industries did not fail due to management incompetence only. Substantially, these union leaders who sometimes called themselves comrades and screamed "choboii" were part of the failures.

Nkrumah gave us our first and only motorway. Please it was Nkrumah that established Ghana Commercial bank in 1953, Bank of Ghana in 1957, National Investment Bank in 1963 and Agricultural Development Bank in 1965. Please when Nkrumah came to power in 1951, there was no secondary school in the North and he established the first secondary school, the Tamale Secondary in the North and made it free boarding for them to attend. So the North has enjoyed free boarding in secondary schools since 1951. In 1951, there was only one university graduate, Edmund Alhassan from the North but now see the numerous university graduates including President Mahama and Dr Bawumia from the North. Please when Nkrumah came to power, there were only 13 small small mission schools. Please all the 13 mission schools, Nkrumah gave them new buildings. Then he established the Ghana Education Trust Schools in almost every district of this country Some of the Ghana Education Trust Schools are,Yaa Asantewa, Accra Girls, Mfantsiman Girls, Konongo Odumase Twenebua Kodua,in Kumawu, Dormaa, Sunyani, Techiman, Achirensua, Navrongo, Bawku, Ghana, Tamale, Ghana, Koforidua, Oda,Swedru, Winneba, Apam, Labone, Tema, Keta, Sogakope,, Tarkwa, Kwame Nkrumah, Axim, Half Assini, Asangragwa, the mother of all the Ghana Education Trust Schools, Ghana National College,Coast and many more
Nkrumah also built the Adom, Sokakope, Buipe and Yapei bridges. Ghana Television was established by Nkrumah.Please in those days we were poor so Nkrumah had to build hotels He built the Ambassador, Continental, in Accra. Meridian in Tema, City Hotel in Kumasi and Atlantic hotel in Accra. Please Nkrumah established industries, the brigades and state farms that offered employment to Ghanaians. Please Nkrumah was not a failure. Please he achieved lndependence for us and developed this country for us

Doe he think , Kwame Nkrumah built GIHOC which he claimed to have worked for , simply for Akufo Addo to put his capitalist oriented son- in law Kofi Jumah as CEO to plunder the profits of the company? Well, the hare-brained bonafide idiot called Koo Manu could not answer that simple question. That does not say much about him, does it?
