Original Asante Empire included Kwahu and Bono-Ahafo. Anglo and Nzema were on good terms with Asante. True or false? The Fante, Akwamu were the Slave Dealers with direct contacts to the Danes and British, the wicked Hausa were purposely brought in from Nigeria as slave drivers, herding human beings like cattle. Check the historical records to know. Akyem and Akuapem left Adanse with Asante, the settlers of Mampong also originated from Adanse. If not for the failure of Asante to unite all Akan People because of their selfishness , greed and intoxication with power over all others, our African State would not be put together by Europeans. All Akans don’t like Asante because they are cheats and don’t know how to share power.They don’t even say they speak Twi or admit that their culture is Akan. For them, the language, fufu, dance and everything is Asante. So let them take their minimised selves and blind them from seeing the unified, greater and powerful nation that would have been in size with Nigeria. The agitation wasn’t only centred on our shores. Activists were campaigning in England, the United States and the Caribbean, from anti slavery campaigners and abolitionists to the Black Star Line Movement. Learned people o African origin and Whites alike were actively involved. Ashanti’s contribution was immense although they scaled back from the political front during the period that most Southerners, especially Nzema, Ahanta and Fante were involved. Where was Ayigbe then? Mention one name. These Southerners, including Ga and much later Ewe, had a long history of collaborating with the Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Danes and the British. Ashanti never welcomed the colonists because they had come to disrupt state or kingdom formation in our own African and natural ways. They should have left us to fight, create alliances and settle our borders. Among the inland Akans, only Akyem Abuakwa participated in the colonial struggle the way the Southerners did. Ashanti had done its greater part already on the battlefield for more than two centuries before.

Ghanaweb, 'beside' and 'besides' sound the same, but they mean different things: 'beside' means 'next to, on the side of' while 'besides' means 'in addition to' or 'also'!!

You went further: 'He was born in CHORKOR to of ...' Chorkor you mean? The last time I checked, Chorkor was/is still in Greater Accra (western part of Accra)

As a fante he is a native of Ajumako though that has not been highlighted in narrations about him.
