The mortal remains of former Savannah Regional Minister and former Salaga South Member of Parliament Salifu Adam Braimah have been airlifted to Kpembe for burial.

The announcement was shared on X by Channel One News on April 12, 2026.

“The mortal remains of Hon. Adam Salifu Braimah, popularly known as Uncle Sally, have been airlifted to Kpembe for burial.

“The late statesman, who served as Savannah Regional Minister and MP for Salaga South, will be laid to rest in line with family and traditional arrangements," it stated.

Salifu Adam Braimah passed away after a short illness.

He was reported to have passed away at the University of Ghana Medical Centre.

A brief notice by his family on Sunday, April 11, described him as a brother and uncle adding that, arrangements are underway to transport his body for burial.

“With a heavy heart, I announce the demise of our brother, Uncle Sally and former minister of the Savannah Region. The sad event occurred at the University of Ghana Hospital after a short illness. Arrangements are underway to convey the corpse to Salaga for burial. May Allah admit him into Jannatul Firdaus,” the statement added.

The late Salifu Adam Braimah served as a member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic, representing the Salaga South Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.
