Some ECG workers at a power plant
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned power outage in parts of Accra as it undertakes maintenance works aimed at improving service delivery.
The exercise is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
In a statement dated April 12, ECG indicated that areas to be affected include parts of School Junction, Adjiringanor and surrounding communities.
“Other locations expected to experience the outage are Lartebiokorshie Methodist, Yasako Press, Doblo, Hebron, Medie, Sarpeiman and Satellite,” the statement said.

Additional areas listed include Low Cost, SIC Quarters, Abortia Junction, Akwamufie Township, Petroleum Depot, Mami Water, Small London, Volta River Estate, Fihankra and nearby communities.
ECG apologised for the inconvenience the exercise may cause and assured the public that the maintenance works are necessary to ensure a more reliable and stable power supply.
