The wife of a taxi driver who was shot and killed by a policewoman at Tetegu in the Greater Accra Region has opened up about the hardship her family is enduring following his death.

Speaking in an emotional interview on Adom TV on April 16, 2026, she said life has become increasingly difficult, as her late husband was the family’s main breadwinner.

“Life has been really difficult for us because my husband was the one providing for the family. I’m also not in good health, as I recently underwent surgery. Things have become very hard,” she said.

She added that the situation has taken a toll on her health, further compounding the family’s challenges.

The widow also expressed concern over delays in communication from the police regarding funeral arrangements.

According to her, the family was asked to submit a list for the burial arrangements to the police headquarters but has yet to receive any response weeks after complying.

“The police asked us to submit a list for the funeral arrangements at the headquarters. It’s been three weeks since we did that. They said they would call us, but we haven’t heard from them,” she explained.

She further disclosed that a relative who followed up with the police was told to expect feedback soon.

“One of my in-laws contacted the police for an update and was told they would reach out next week so we can know the way forward for the burial,” she added.

Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned to April 29, 2026.
