Ghanaian businessman and Chief Executive Officer of indigenous mining firm Engineers and Planners Company Limited, Ibrahim Mahama, has reportedly funded life-saving medical treatments worth $70,000 within 24 hours.
The interventions include $40,000 for a kidney transplant for 13-year-old Jeffery Boakye, $15,000 for a hole-in-heart surgery for 2-year-old Elora Addai, and another $15,000 for brain surgery for a senior high school student.
Jeffery has been battling kidney failure and has been undergoing dialysis three times a week at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
The businessman also funded the $15,000 hole-in-heart surgery for Elora Addai, whose family had earlier applied for financial assistance for the procedure.

He is also reported to have fully covered the $15,000 required for a life-saving brain surgery in India for 14-year-old Hadeya Mohammed, a first-year student of Ghana Senior High School (GHANASCO) in Tamale.
