This is the same AG who in private practice brought a case for a mining company which was claiming about $200 million against the state for non renewal of mining concession and now the claim has shot up to $900 million. Is this just a coincidence or what? And Ghanaians don’t seem to care?

Ghanaian officials are proving to be even more problematic than the Nigerians we often criticize. In any serious country, why would an independent anti-corruption body be stripped of its prosecutorial powers? That decision alone raises serious concerns about the commitment to fighting corruption.

It effectively means that all corruption-related cases must go through the Attorney General’s office. But how can an Attorney General, appointed by the president, impartially investigate the president or fellow ministers? That creates an obvious conflict of interest and undermines public trust in the system.

If institutions meant to ensure accountability are weakened instead of strengthened, it sends the wrong message about governance and the rule of law.

I am surprised the very first book long OSP Martin, hasn't posted any long PhD thesis on this OSP ruling. Shocked that if that was what the law required, why did he fail as a former Attorney general to question the legality under which he was to operation idependently and effeciently prosecute all cases of corruption that was brought to his knowledge.
I believe our former sleeping father of the nation serwah broni should have used his former position as attorney general, Head of a law firm, law degree from a university no one till today knows or heard about to seek the legal requirements that will establish the office of OSP into stone or iron. But he knew he was throwing dust into the eyes of ghanaians to cover his looting, corruption , given the honourable title of "mother serpent of all corruption" by the very first OSP he appointed. What a blessing of prophetic anointing honour.
I cause every politician who has benefited from ghanaian tax payers money through corruption, crime, sidechicks, anything that they used statefunds, loads from door countries,covid 19 funds donated , loaned, tax payers funded projects , provision of borehole wells, which was never done, treatment of water to provide good drinking water for ghanaians, keta sea defence project which was never done but consultation monies used to build a huge school dormitory for a well known school. Every person who took part in corruption related stuff and very well knew about the source of money, will never see peace, health,sanitary of mind, and all their hands will shrink shorter and their bum and private parts will for life itch them and hands will never reach those areas to help them find peace of mind . It will be generational curse. Ghana without corruption by a handful of greedy citizens will have the very best healthcare facilities on our continent that citizens wont have to seek support from a very worthy good samaritan as Ibrahim mahama to fund treatment outside the country before these innocent young future leaders have any hope of survival. We have criminal who bloated the DRIP equipment imported walking our streets free but poor struggling ghanaians go and steal 6 fingers of plantain are fined huge sums they can't afford , ending up to serve prison terms. Until the crime show host who visits prisons to offer hope to these victimsby paying their fines to secure their release. What sort of nation are we building for generations to come. God save our homeland GHANA. Let's all change our habits
