Meet the voice behind Ghana's popular Jesus film narration in Twi

Have you ever taken a moment to explore the many translations of what is popularly known as the Jesus Christ movie?

Beyond the English version, the film has been produced in several other languages, helping people who may not understand English, or who simply prefer their local language, connect more deeply with the story.

One of those voices belongs to Rev Augustine Anchi, the man behind the Twi translation and narration of the Jesus Christ film.

Rev Anchi, during an interview with Pent TV, was asked to demonstrate his work.

He effortlessly mimicked the narration style he has used for years, bringing back the familiar sound that many Ghanaians associate with the film.

Rev Augustine Antwi Appiah has become a household name in Ghanaian Christian circles as the man who translated and voiced the Jesus Film in Twi.

His work has given millions of Ghanaians the opportunity to experience the life and teachings of Jesus Christ in their own language.

The Twi version continues to play a significant role in outreach programmes across Ghana and West Africa, reinforcing the impact of local-language translations in spreading the Christian message.
