The Presidency Communications Office has announced an upcoming edition of the Government Accountability Series, which will feature Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

The event is scheduled to take place at 11 AM on Monday, April 20, 2025.

To address this, President Mahama said plans are underway to construct new warehouses and silos across the country.

He added that investments are also being directed into agro-processing facilities, including maize processing plants in major producing areas, to transform raw produce into finished goods for both local consumption and export.

He further indicated that opportunities in value addition, particularly egg processing for international markets, are being explored as part of efforts to strengthen the agricultural value chain.

The president also announced the establishment of 50 Farmers Service Centres in key agricultural zones to improve access to machinery, irrigation, and other essential services. He emphasised that the initiative will promote inclusivity, with deliberate efforts to train women as tractor operators and support their participation across the agricultural sector.

Concluding his remarks, President Mahama assured teacher trainees that their allowances have been processed and will be disbursed in the coming days.
